The Great Council (Completely Off-Topic)
If you are so bored to check what I write down there, I respect it and feel free to read only the last sentence. But, I'll know if you do! Hehehe..
It's going to be an off-topic in off-topic section for you guys.
But, since we have to begin from somewhere, I wanted to begin with gaming. In fact, anticipated games! Everyday, I am waiting for the next Metal Gear Solid installment (MGS:PP) which will be a money grab though. It already is with Ground Zeroes released separated like it's a prologue (I don't believe a word of their silly excuses). :) But I will try to buy it on day one. Except if with that money I can buy Windows 7..
And, I wanted to know; what games are you waiting for? Surely not Megaman, though. Maybe, if you believe in reincarnation. But it will be nearly impossible even if you do. There is a much higher possibility for Omegaman. :P So, tell me about what you're excepting to play next.
Well, don't forget though; you can talk about whatever you desire. Except sex, drugs and taxi cabs, alright?? Thank you!
Edit; It was required that I had to change my funny-little-title (a.k.a. Omegaman) due to charges by the Federal Government and because the Queen has suggested so. She found it funny, too though. I don't know what goes on in their mind..
I like your style, and we need a place to talk off-topic about watches. The OMEGA is my favorite, man.
I'm sure this will be long and we can discuss the meaning of existence, perception of reality, question the language of thought itself, and even taxi drivers.
It's good to start small and grow from here. I like this new thread.
YES an anti-porno thread. Take that Summerland!!
I guess that means talking about Mario's mushroom is out of the question then. Very well then
Hey I dare you to watch this video after drinking 5 cups of water and waiting about 2 hours: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9y7bEr74bw
I'm not into video games so much, but I like deep questions that few ask:
What do you think it would be like to die in your sleep and what if it was lucid?
HAGART wrote: I'm not into video games so much, but I like deep questions that few ask:

I am certain if a Lucid Dreamer was at a high enough level when the DMT made its huge release, they would go through the DABDA phase. At the denial phase they probably will think they will wake up and everything will be just fine the next day. Anger phase they will start getting angry and cursing Bargaining they may attempt to Dream Heal or attempt to bargain with the DCs to get them to revive themselves. It may or may not be successful. Depression stage, the Lucid Dreamer will probably start crying because they realize they are going to cease to exist and there is no escape. They may not even get past this stage and might fade into unconsciousness while crying. Acceptance Stage the Lucid Dreamer accepts their fate, and will sometimes fade into unconsciousness with style.
Forget deep stuff like that.
LOL, I peed before watching that video and yet still almost wanted to when I watched. I don't know if it's gender specific, but when I get in the shower I have to go and then have a dilemma. In the shower or in the toilet? I use to run the faucet to stimulate my urine flow before hand, then I learned to just wait as the shower is going and feel it build up to a point where I have to go. It's funny because no matter what, you always have to go when the shower runs. Now, I just let it go in the shower, free as a bird. It dribbles down my leg, and I don't care. It's not dirty.... I'M IN THE SHOWER!
It's all the same tubes and goes to the same place, just like George Costanza would say.
TMI? All good fun, I hope.
(I have a septic system and don't live in the city so you're all safe... but I bet everyone does it! Sleep tight!)
Many females claim to do such things, although I don't do that. However it could be worse for you. Females.... basically what we do in the shower on occasion is far worse than what you do, and you probably don't even want to know.
What females do in the shower I'm sure is far worse than asking what happens when we die in a lucid dream..... ;)
Both of us will have Desert Explorer stumped with these mysteries of the universe.

Well fortunately for you, females don't do that very often. Although in many females, you'll be able to tell if they are actually doing that disgusting thing in the shower if they are doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBhxIyT8Slg
As far as dying in your sleep I don't know the answer to that.
I only know what it was like to be Lucid Dreaming during a hypotension shock (and was well aware I was going through the shock while in the Lucid Dream somehow), and managed to Dream Heal myself during the time.
Games? Nobody?? Alright then..
No, no I don't cry! Why should I? .....
Well, I personally cannot do that in the shower because the cold water doesn't let me relax.
 "American Psyche."

It's a movie about Big Macs. That is American Psyche. ;)
I did the comedic 'bring back'.
See what I did there?
Bah! If you have to explain a joke it didn't work and El Guapo wins.
Maybe in real life if we took the time to see things from others's perspectives and imagined what it would be like to be them all the time, hatred and malice and retribution would make no sense.
Of course it would make sense to hate the person who killed or raped someone. They did something very despicable and vile in our society which should never be forgiven. The person knows nothing but hate or evil. Most of the time, they could care less about how they have affected others in such a way. In fact, I believe most of society is like this. They don't care about hurting or affecting others. They don't care if they bully someone into killing themselves (usually they could say, "Good riddance." to the person they are bullying). They don't care if while they are eating a good meal, thousands of others are out there starving to death (which is why they passed a law in Florida prohibiting people from feeding the homeless). In fact society wouldn't care if you were out there dying on the street unless they knew they could get good money from medically treating you (they often charge $10,000+ just to do so), as I have heard horror stories of people in poverty having the authorities simply hanging up on them, allowing their victims to die, because they will only get involved if they can gain anything from it. There is no such thing as sentiment in our species. You want sentiment? Buy a cat or a dog, and they'll give you plenty of such.
This is growing quite tiresome.

If I hadn't have had my cousin who was only a child brutally murdered, and the creep getting a very light sentence, maybe I wouldn't be wishing death on him
Well if I were able to use time travel, I would fix the problem by giving my mother the medication needed to prevent the fertilization. I would never be a problem again, nor would anyone know or remember me, because I would be altering the timeline where I would have never existed, which is probably better off for everyone's sake. For some, how would it feel, if someone they absolutely hated decided to no longer exist, or if they decided to prevent their own birth. Say Obama did that, or Sarah Palin. Or think back, what if we had the power to prevent someone from being born/aborting them? How would it feel if we could change the timeline and cease their existence that way. What if we could ultimately prevent the big bang (prevent all of existence from ever happening)? Would you want to do so?
If it was in my hands, I would make different physical laws. Though, I cannot complain. Our creator seems to have made a good enough gameplay. Great enough to make your own. Well, that is really sophisticated if you think about it.
Hey, guys! Has anyone watched "Gangster Squad"? Or maybe "The Untouchables"? I just finished watching the first (mentioned). These guys stole a lot from the first movie! And when I say a lot, I definetely mean a lot!! :!:
DesertExplorer wrote: If it was in my hands, I would make different physical laws. Though, I cannot complain. Our creator seems to have made a good enough gameplay. Great enough to make your own. Well, that is really sophisticated if you think about it.
So you believe in some sort of creator I take it?
In the very least I would at least prevent my birth by preventing the fertilization that took place. I would also prevent Hitler's, Saddam, and Osama from being born. I would have never existed and no one would have even known I had, but neither would they. The world would be a much better place. If I were to prevent certain people from ever being born (including myself), then the world would indeed be a better place to live.
Forget it, I am leaving this topic as well, as you have all made it very clear I am not welcome anywhere else. I am probably just going to stay in Megaman and not post anywhere else.
Anybody a "Breaking Bad"/"Better Call Saul" fan?
I'm more of an Assy McGee Fan.
That use to be on late night and was a gem. Rare, but beautiful.
As you wish nesgirl. And yes, I can believe in some sort of designer who doesn't interfere with our world at all. Sometimes, I think that he doesn't even observes what he created. :P
But, if you had this choice, then you could be born as you would like to and live where you'd like to, isn't that right? So, why should you take a look at yourself and say "no, you will not live in this world" when you can actually control everything like you are in a lucid dream?
It was required that I had to change my funny-little-title (a.k.a. Omegaman) due to charges by the Federal Government and because the Queen has suggested so.
I hope you understand..
With love, Desert Explorer..
or Hannibal..
What happens when you think without words, and only analogies?
I do it a lot during hypnopompia (just visions and emotions), and it's hard to express and don't want to start a new topic because it's hard to put into words right now and perhaps never can.
How's that for an interesting topic?
Ha! Actually, Hagart.. I was trying to do that a few days ago and I have to tell that I felt weird. Something like being born again. I was fading away from it and slipping back to thought full of words again, but I tried to focus. Not for too long, though. Sadly.. :(
I like sleeping in and having extended hypnopompia. You get use to it.
I do feel there is a difference between an inner dialogue (linguistic) and a free flowing vision-emotion thought, (analogic).
Where have I heard that before?... ;)
Hehehe.. :P

I love your cat picture, it has such a very sad face.
The cat looks grumpy because you broke his rules! :x

Hi, DesertExplorer! Would you say that, like Thomas Paine, you are a deist? Your position is certainly more defensible than theism if that's the case.

Hey, Summerlander! I hadn't an internet connection for more than 24 hours. I nearly committed suicide!! Hehe.. I'm kidding.. That was not the reason. Haha.. I'm kidding again! :D
Uh, no. I wouldn't call myself a deist or religious. Maybe spiritual. I believe in the existence of nothingness and the ignorance of knowledge. But hold on for a year and I might have updated my thesis. Seriously, I change my opinions in subjects like this nearly all the time. So, I can never say with certainty. And really if you ask me again in a year, I might have something new for you.
What about you?

I have heared that before, but are they for real? It is not a crime, anyway.. You just take a decision to change your environment. What's wrong with that? I can understand that it would be no progressing if we all were committing suicide 24/7 but putting a man in a jail because he hates life is gonna make him hate it even more. It is true, isn't it? Am I paranoid or something?

Well, I'm an unbeliever who would dread irrefutable numinous evidence if it ever came. If it is proved that there is something higher which judges and is characterised by predilections, I will vomit as my feeble mind drops atheism. But I also ask the question: What kind of evidence would that be? Would the inexplicable warping of space itself, with all its stars and galaxies, to form something intelligible as witnessed from our planet, be enough to convince me? Or would that only indicate the possibility, beyond our comprehension, that superintelligent and ultra-advanced extraterrestrials eventuated such spectacle with their technology? I certainly don't want the celestial Mafia Boss to be true.

It is a crime unfortunately to be doing so in the USA. It is probably because they don't want their citizens killing themselves because they get their tax dollars out of their citizens (or community service out of them when they are in prison), and if a citizen kills themselves, then the state is out more tax dollars (a citizen pays approximately $100-$200 in tax dollars a month with minimum wage), so you can see why they are so greedy in keeping these citizens alive, as to them, a citizen is walking money for the government. If it weren't for that, I don't think the government would even care if a citizen were to kill themselves. After all, they don't seem to care of what happens to the citizens other than that, and seem to react pretty fast to dire situations. It doesn't stop medical from being seriously expensive however, so some citizens knowing they cannot afford it will refuse treatment.

Considering how cruel you are to animals, I wouldn't be surprised if you shot and killed the aliens, took over their technology, and conquered their empire. Oh and dissected them in the name of science. Oh and if you met Zeus, I wouldn't be surprised if you shot a nuclear bomb at him either, saying, "Eat nuclear bomb, you Greek rapist!" (I don't know what those Greek Mythology books claim about Zeus, but I don't think anything can survive a nuclear explosion). Although if you did that, I don't know what the fate of the universe would be. Although I would probably be twice as delighted if you ended up nuking Eros along with Zeus. Because if you nuke Eros (God of Romance), then you just did me a huge favor by eliminating romance from the world, and I would be deeply in your debt because asexuality would from then on be ruling the universe.
Actually there are several forms of evidence I am terrified of as well. You think I want to see this guy at my door?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peNvv5709XU I already have a bit of distrust in humans as is, and I don't think I need a creature which resembles humans coming to persecute me any further. Also the thought of turning into a scary looking creature is even more horrifying, only to be persecuted by these creatures forever while suffering from your own injuries doesn't sound very appealing. If aliens appeared in front of me, I would tell them, "You probably would hate me, I am not a liked species on this planet!" and run away. If alien animals appeared on this planet, I would probably approach them and attempt to befriend them. If Zeus appeared, I would run away from him, hide in a cave, and tell him to, "Go away!" putting a stone in front of the cave.

I am pretty sure it is illegal in Canada as well, because I found a Canadian video of someone attempting to kill themselves in "jail" and she got a much higher prison sentence doing so (5 years because she attempted suicide so many times), and solitary confinement. Unfortunately for them, eventually she successfully killed herself after 5 years by smashing her skull into the steel wall. Although usually they sell prisoners' bodies to science and science (anatomy) classes to pay off the debt to society, where they are dissected.
Also they did exactly the same thing in another video (US) I saw to this one man after the police broke into his house (they thought they were doing a drug investigation) shot his dog (the dog was doing nothing wrong, just walking to its owner), and the dog was his only friend in the world (he had no family), the man turned his gun on himself. So they sold both their bodies to science not caring or thinking about what they did in that situation, and didn't even realize they attacked an innocent man's house, nor did they seem to bother them at all. Also because the man didn't have a will, family, or any friends, the government greedily took everything in his house, including the house itself and sold everything.

First time I listened to it, it was a movie with Andy Garcia. I can't remember the title. It was a drama. A woman was addicted to alcohol and her husband (Andy Garcia) was trying to help her.
I hadn't watched the video clip of that song. I have to say that the ending spoils it all. I didn't like it. It was a really wrong decision. It should end with the people getting out of their cars and walking. Anyway, when it really got me, it was in the part before that scene, that the old man was weeping in his car. That was the best part in my opinion.
DesertExplorer wrote: It should end with the people getting out of their cars and walking.
I think you meant, it shouldn't, because that is what happens, but yea, it's totally melodramatic and sappy. But I like the song and lyrics more than the video. It's used quite a bit in movies. I like the line, "The day is long... the night is yours alone." For depressed lucid dreamers that's so true.
I have another song. What's the meaning of this song? It has an anti religious part at the end doesn't it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaUqpnHvua8 (Crash Test Dummies. "MMM MMM MMM MMM"

No Hagart. I know what I said. I meant that it should end right there. The heli view and the woman talking was so uncool. It spoiled everything. That was the ending.

Sometimes I don't know if others are hurting or not. I can only tell if it is very obvious. Nor do I really think that video is very accurate of actually saying how anyone actually feels. Now this video on the other hand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfnAOcBirAs
These laboratory videos Peta took made me feel really bad for these poor monkeys (and very obviously only people who are "animal abusers" themselves would actually stand up for these evil abusers in these videos):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTJcPWHRf_g You cannot tell me this is NOT animal abuse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3KWHECRC_A This video if you feel anything for animals will make you feel bad. Otherwise you'll laugh at the poor thing
Nesgirl, nesgirl..
Just enjoy the music..
I watched those monkey experiment videos, and deem them cruel and unnecessary. The conditions are worse than any prison and the monkeys did nothing wrong to deserve it. People treat them worse than the most hardened criminals!
It makes death row seem like a waste of perfectly good specimens, doesn't it? ;) (WAS THAT CRUEL TO SAY!??!)
As for the video, don't let the title fool you. To me it had more to do with suicide, and talking people out of it.
"If you feel like letting go (Hold on) If you think you've had too much Of this life, well hang on
Everybody hurts Take comfort in your friends"

Actually I am right with you Hagart on that one. Why should the scientists waste their time on the animals, who are guilty of nothing, when there are serial killers, rapists, and animal abusers (like that farmer who drowned those puppies for example) who clearly would be perfect for the science lab experiments? And actually I would have no problem at all if they put my cousin's murderer in a science lab to be tested on as a form of justice (yes I am still really angry at him, and angry at the people who lightened his sentence. I mean REALLY?! 15 MONTHS for murdering an innocent child?!). Because if they could experiment on him to maybe cure children in the future at the cost of this creep's life, it would be worth it, and swift justice on my family's behalf.

If a person doesn't have any friends, then there wouldn't be any point. And if people start making threats to lock them up in jail, then it only makes a person feel that much worse. Most of the time, people don't even mention much of that to anyone, because they are afraid of being judged. They are afraid of being locked up in jail. Sometimes a person is bullied/abused so badly, it is too much for them to handle, and no one can stop the bullying. And sometimes life for that person is only going to go extremely downhill if they live through it. Like with cancer, or if they were prison raped once after getting falsely arrested, and they end up getting accused again, so they kill themselves so they don't have to get arrested and prison raped again (you cannot talk a person into wanting to live through something like that, it is too traumatizing)
So, according to your advice, they should go ahead and kill themselves? You would actually tell them that there is no place for them in this world and that bullies are invincible? :-P
[ Post made via Android ] Image
The dilemma with experimenting on death row inmates is the possibility that some are wrongfully accused which happens all the time. But if one was 100% guilty of murder, rape and/or torture, I certainly wouldn't lose sleep knowing they replaced monkeys in the labs. It's more just, and the science would be more accurate too, using an actual human. I find it hard for anyone to disagree. (Key word: 100% guilty).
nesgirl wrote: 15 MONTHS for murdering an innocent child?!
I've tried looking up any case of murder that only had a 15 Month sentence on the internet. I feel like there might be a lot more to it because that does seem like an unprecedented, light sentence.
As for justifying a time to kill oneself.... you know what, I could probably think of a few times when it actually would be the best option. What if you were captured by the Mofia, and knew you would be tortured to death, or were trapped in a dungeon left to starve a slow death, or worse yet, forced to watch the entire Twilight series? Sometimes death is actually less painful than life.
Summerlander wrote: So, according to your advice, they should go ahead and kill themselves? You would actually tell them that there is no place for them in this world and that bullies are invincible? :-P
That's your advice, not mine, the one who says what they are doing in the science labs is completely sane and drowns puppies in the rivers.
Bullies are as of right now pretty well invincible. And I can tell you from my experience what happens if a victim fights back, because I got angry enough several times to fight back. If a person fights back, then the teacher victim cards the bully, and will suspend the victim or even expel the victim from school. There have even been very rare cases where a victim has brought a weapon to school to defend themselves against their bullies, or they use Black Belt Karate moves to defend themselves against their bullies and do you know what happens then? They get put on the news, they play the victim card on the bully, and the victim gets sentenced for life in prison, where they are victimized and raped either permanently, or the victim dies somehow. Although there may be problems for a very few select number of people, who no matter how hard they try, they seem to cheat death each time, and they cannot seem to succeed at it, and it is frustrating for them, because they hate life so bad.

I believe so as well. Don't forget animal abuse. I think the farmer who drowned the puppies certainly should be experimented upon as well. Very humane for him in my opinion after what he did to them.

They went light on him, because he's an immigrant who crossed the border, and most of the time, Americans tend to go WAY too easy on immigrants who cross the border, just banning them from the country and light jail time for murder, getting free medical care when we have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for it, and sometimes we die of our injuries when we cannot afford it, getting free education when we as citizens have to also pay thousands of dollars for that, etc. This is one of the reason why the USA gets so angry at immigrants, because they are too lazy to get citizenship in our country, and many of our own citizens are left sick, hungry, and dying on the streets because of this problem.
As for justifying a time to kill oneself.... you know what, I could probably think of a few times when it actually would be the best option. I think the worst thing for me is being forced into a marriage and having to live with a husband for the rest of my life. I would probably kill myself before the marriage. The only thing worse than being stuck in a marriage for life is the afterlife idea of me losing my asexuality, and then getting married to someone. If I cannot kill myself then by plunging myself into a black hole, then I am stuck in eternal agony.
Yes or how about if a person is slowly dying of cancer and is in a lot of pain? Or how about those starving people in Africa. Personally I think it is a lot less painful to hang yourself than to starve to death. Sometimes to escape a grim fate, it may be a better option.
Summerlander, if I had one dollar for every :D , two dollars for every :P and four dollars for every  you post, I would have enough money to buy a nice used blue car.

Was it a DUI? I found a case that fits all the descriptions you've given, but the guy got 15 YEARS. I hope that's the case and not 15 MONTHS. Please tell me you were mistaken, and perhaps got 'years' and 'months' confused because it's horrible to know they only got a 15 month sentence. 15 years sounds more plausible.

Erase the post down below, if you would. Yes that's the one. This guy murdered in cold blood. When he realized he murdered my cousin, he showed absolutely no guilt whatsoever, and only tried to get away from authorities. Even at trial, he attempted to defend himself when my family and I knew who killed my cousin, the @#$#@. I thought they said he had been sentenced for 15 months, because there was a thing released that mentioned his trial, however I do know his lawyers and him were working hard to try to bail him out, despite the fact he had murdered my cousin.
Well anyways, I thought maybe we'd look at a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Personality Quiz (I got kicked out of the last topic). http://www.gamefaqs.com/ds/938930-pokemon-mystery-dungeon-explorers-of-darkness/faqs/52562 Want to find out which Pokemon you are? Answer the questions, and see what kind of Pokemon you are.
I'll do the Pokemon quiz for fun. :D
I just tried. It's too hard. I can't just click on it, like the lazy bum I am.
I think I'd be a Snorlax. ;)

I loved those DogMan videos you shared in the Megaman Topic. Those were hilarious! Such a weird humor, but I liked it.
I didn't know if it was years or months, I was just really angry about the whole thing, as I had a right to be.
If you didn't what the humor in those videos was supposed to be aimed at, I don't get along with one of the users on here, and the humor in that video was supposed to relate to how that person and the "dogman" don't get along because of their differences.
I could say the same thing about these 2 videos as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-j7B_5IP7w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ctJ6o6fnxM
You are never going to believe this, but specific religions and anti-religions got really offended by this particular anime series, and it got banned from TV over 40 years ago because of it. It's called Star Blazers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSy0JtBCZMQ&index=1&list=PL5B6BB2B6D604EFA1 I have a question: Does this cartoon at all look like it symbolizes religion in anyway?
I've been editing, and scrambling to switch topics... sorry.
Now everyone's confused by what just happened, but that's good. It's just between us. ;)

It would be easier if you picked up a version of that game for yourself and attempted to take the quiz yourself. Actually if you play through the game, you are in fact put into many situations where you might ask yourself very important questions. This video for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63Kx1JSIgKI When you play through the game, you play through your quest, and ultimately you find out what your ultimate goal is, even with the Pokemon you pick, and you even create a platonic (possibly a queerplatonic) friendship with the Pokemon who is with you. Then according to this video, you find out that by saving the world and restore balance from a Pokemon whom is formally your friend, this will ultimately cost you your life and the life of your previous friend. In knowing this, obviously most players would be willing to accept their fate anyways and go through with saving the world. This then treats you to this ending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2dlKNrnZ84 You as the player are now dying, having kept your platonic/queerplatonic friend in the dark about the fact you are going to die this whole time, and the platonic/queerplatonic has to watch in tears as you slowly cease to exist, telling your partner your last words. This was almost one of the hardest endings for me to watch in nearly all video games. You actually watch after your main character (YOU) dies, as your platonic friend grieves for you, and even some of the other characters are grieving for you.
This combined with the other ending really makes you think....what would I do if I was in this situation? If you think carefully about what is happening with this game, it is almost what you could really happen in reality if something did happen to you. That is almost the frightening part of that game.

1:34:57-1:39:06 Despite the fact I dislike romantic stories, this one got to me in a big way. The Pokemon in the future are all facing an apocalypse and dying because they worked hard to change the present. The whole Grovyle and Celebi thing at the very end made a much better tragedy than Titanic, showing them both dying together with Grovyle holding Celebi in his arms as they were both meeting their end. I wouldn't watch the complete ending, because if Arceus was involved in that ending, then I don't they ended up where you think.
I never played any Pokemon games, but the TV show in the early 2000's was a guilty pleasure of mine, I must admit. I was in my early 20's, but found it highly entertaining. I was way too old and the rest of my family thought I was weird, but I have two sides: one that likes to get deep in thought, and one that loves to just enjoy fun cartoons.
I never really feel much for the characters when I play a game, but knowing you're Thanatophobic, I can understand how that final scene may trouble you more than most.
I don't know what my Pokemon personality would be, but I do believe the main characters, like any story, are rounded characters, not flat ones (a literary term). Flat ones are 2D and don't change, rounded ones have more personality and can even change through the course of a story. (Pokemon evolve.) Dugtrio for example seems like a complete idiot with no mind (like a few DC's I've met), but Squirtle has some character. 8-) (others won't get the sunglasses reference). And Charizard basically went through puberty and grew up too fast to be tamed anymore, like a teenager.
I will actually argue that the show had depth and was a good story arc with a few poignant moments. I wouldn't have watched it if it didn't. The new ones are horrible, and should have ended after Misty left.
I bet you all didn't know I'm a closet Pokemon fan did you? When it comes to the old-school ones, I watched it a lot. It's been over a decade, but it comes back when I start thinking about it.
Pokemon is a global sensation for a reason. They did something right. It's hard to pin-point exactly what it is though. There's just something about it. Je ne sais quoi.
I could have a serious discussion about anything can't I? :geek:
Yes, you can.
So, I was thinking about the desire that many people have and that is raising (or lowering) other people's consciousness in the same level that they see the world. If you really think about it, you will be able to understand the reason though. They are really afraid of whether their consciousness has a really good impact out of their own mind or if it's strong enough to endure. I have met a lot of people like this and they all fail to realize that. But, I never met anyone who will just accept that he doesn't understand a single thing.
After all, the "enlightenment" thing is just an illusion, isn't it? That very desire is catastrophic (or not).

That Pokemon story just has some lines that made me think about some things or situations like I would if I were to face them. Mystery Dungeon was originally a role-playing game about humans who went on a quest, and the dungeons would change randomly. And they would always change the story to some touching story. They changed the characters into Pokemon, because of the whole franchise being about Pokemon (so in other words, your player was originally a human like it said, but they transformed the player into a Pokemon, however just about everything else is based on the actions the humans did in the other Mystery Dungeon games. Some of the attacks are based on weapon or wrestling attacks). This is almost why it seems kind of odd that the Pokemon are behaving like humans in the series, because most of the time, like in the series, the Pokemon are MEANT to behave like animals. You don't seem to understand what it is that really bothers me. I was upset by the whole thing in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon because I really get upset thinking others are going to cry over me like that, and think carefully of what you see in one of those Mystery Dungeon videos, as in one of them, that player is consistently mourning over their friend's death. In that mystery dungeon game, that is supposed to be implied it is your friend mourning over your death, and that there is a bit of a funeral. It isn't death that bothers me at all. I don't know, it makes me feel so guilty that if I had a queerplatonic friend, they might go a little too extreme with the grieving if I were to cease to exist, making it that much more uncomfortable. I really wish for them to understand that makes me feel uncomfortable, and I wouldn't want that. Okay I found out why the whole ending is so dramatic and all. The whole relationship in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon that is built up is supposed to be based off of a queerplatonic friendship (the majority of the time, players often pick Pokemon of the opposite gender, further supporting my hypothesis), how the time is spent building up that very important friendship. The fact these 2 are even sleeping in exactly the same room together, and are confidence building with each other further supports my theory they are much more than regular platonic friends. This being the case, a queerplatonic friendship is a committed friendship that lasts until one of them dies. However when this happens, because of how long usually the friendship lasts and how much time and commitment is spent cementing that friendship, it feels like a huge part of the person who is left has been shattered, so the grief from the person who lost a queerplatonic friend is probably going to last a heck of a lot longer than with just a normal friendship, and sometimes if it lasted long enough, they can never really get over it.
I really like these Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fan videos, but it tells you more of how the fans see that part of the game where the player dies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFGPq3y4bHI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmmsFRzdH0g
