Any writers here?
Come on, out with it... 8-)
If you write fiction, what do you write about?
Have your lucid dreams inspired your work?
Do you have any really great resources you'd like to share?
Could you share your published works?
I'd like to see what the other lucid writers are up to....
I write poems, but LD have never been a factor. I'll find something good and share it.
I write all the time about all subjects. I have published an illustration for Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (when I used to work for them as a researcher and the illustrator was on holiday; and one of my lucid dreams features in Michael Raduga's The Phase -- A Practical Guidebook. 8-)

This was one of my first attempts. I have stopped writing in my language, because I want to be completely devoted in English Poetry.
I wrote this poem in one day, so that's why it's so small. I usually like them longer. Take a look and tell me or criticise me if you feel like it. The guys in the forum have already done it though. But I'd like to take some more.
I write fictitious novels whose genre could be described as "crime," "horror," or, in some cases, "science fiction"--sometimes an amalgamation of all three. A lot of my fiction has a supernatural, absurdist kind of horror to it, something within the vein of Lovecraft, as well as a ghastly silence and dark emptiness typical of Cormac McCarthy novels; I also try to capture the subtle, zany, and morbid humor of Coen brother films.
But I write purely for my own pleasure, or for the pleasure of a few close friends. I leave publication to the true virtuosos, especially since nowadays there are so many "self-published" authors with a sense of post-Stephen King entitlement circulating the strange realm of non-canonical publishing, a lot of them somewhere in between "fan fiction" and pulp fiction.
@DesertExplorer
Nice. I like your personifying imagery of nature.
I write science fiction, so far my own pleasure, but I will be getting my works into print as I am one of the founders of a company which prints books for other self-publish authors. I have considerable technical expertise in that area which I can share
Although I have yet to get inspiration from a lucid dream of my own or take that dream portal to one of worlds (as my lucid dreams when I have them are too fleeting), my characters do lucid dream, sometimes to receive implanted messages from other places and or even other times.

For those of you planning to write and publish a book, start thinking about writing a 'book proposal' first and possibly regard any half-written book you may have as a blueprint for the proper thing! 8-)

I purposely found and shared that one! :D
Nice to get a feel for the other writers here.
Well done for sharing your poetry DesertExplorer, that takes guts. And in another language too - much respect.
I realised just recently, writing is a huge part of who I am. It's not just my job.
The more I write, the more I get to express my real self, without other people influencing me in the moment as with conversation. I used to think "self discovery" was a cheesy phrase for self-help authors. But it's not.
I also do digital painting and compose piano music but nothing excites me as much as writing a good story. My lucid dream characters are exciting seeds for fictional characters, even if the story ends up going in a completely different direction from the dream.
The more I write, the more I get to express my real self, without other people influencing me in the moment as with conversation.
This is so true. Thoughts go uninterrupted and expression is pure. I feel the same way. :-)

I'm currently a writer for songs in my band. Though I'm currently seeking help from my music instructors. Writing guitar riffs is easy. Coming up with titles is even easier. Bass and Drums I'm not too worried about. My current challenge is writing a vocal melody as well as good lyrics that fit with the title and theme I've given the song.
As for what genre I write, I'm attempting to create an 80's Hair Metal band. For those who don't know what that is; Van Halen, Guns N Roses, Poison, Def Leppard, Skid Row & Motley Crue are great examples of this genre
Now, that I got my feet a little wet..

Writing (and reading) is the primary purpose of life, for me. It's at least the proper task of life. It can be a kind of hypnotic meditation and it's a great way to refine the inner monologue and logical faculties. I've also played out scenes from my novels in lucid dreams, for inspiration, to better visualize scenes, and to do tactile "research" into how my subconscious really pictures something abstract or fantastic--because the subconscious is the real prime mover of art. "Sometimes I write drunk and revise sober, and sometimes I write sober and revise drunk. But you have to have both elements in creation — the Apollonian and the Dionysian, or spontaneity and restraint, emotion and discipline"--Peter de Vries.
I wrote a few stories, but I gave up half way. I only had one WILD, and it was when I was 8 yrs old, and sick.
I started a blog! :D I am the unusual-type of dreamer and I want to share my experience and try to find people like me: http://themeaningofmydreams.net/projects/
:D :D :D
Cool! 8-)

I write mostly fanfiction, but I've also got a few original stories I'm working on. My original stories all fall into the category of sci-fi/fantasy, though mostly fantasy, with a few humorous and romantic elements mixed in between. I'm also working on a darker story that is based off of a lucid dream I had, in fact, one of my most significant lucid dreams. Looking back on the dream and when I had it, the lucid dream and the non-lucid dream before it was my subconcious's metaphor for depression, which I was and currently am struggling with. In fact, I've actually written many stories and short stories based off of my dreams, both lucid and non-lucid. My dreams are a big influential factor in all of my stories, mostly because all of them, even the lucid ones, are wild and great stories. I love writing about my dreams. Sadly, none of my stories are published as e-books or books, but some are scattered around the internet, on websites like fanfiction.net and Wattpad.

Awesome. :) Perhaps you'll let us read something. I've spent great swathes of time thinking of writing about lucid dreaming, but I haven't yet conceived of a way to make it work adequately. Perhaps Nolan was wise to merely take an old and cliched (but still stylish) kind of movie--espionage/heist/crime--and give it a dream twist. One could do that with any genre imaginable.

You write beautifully, Deschain. I reckon you should definitely write about a subject you are interested in--like lucid dreaming! Make a start even if it just entails adumbrating ideas that flare up in your head. You are one--and the best--of the few people on this forum who force me to exposit on my points during our discourses; your posts are trenchant, elaborate and perspicacious--even the ones I partially disagree with; you are clearly one of the most intelligent members of this forum and inspirational. I recognise talent when I see it and I can tell Deschainian literature is marketable.

I don't professionally write but would love to write a book one day on various metaphysical topics possibly lucid dreaming.
At least one of my experiences has been put in anothers published book and I helped a different author answer a question they had in one of their books, I suppose they may of put the answer to it in the revised version.
It's funny if you are reading a book and suddenly come across what is certainly your experience that the author has read and obviously thought it was interesting enough to put in their book on the subject.
One day someone here may see a book I've wrote if I ever go ahead and do it.
