Are there any socially appropriate RC's? Finger counting is discrete, but what can you do in public?

I sometimes ask myself where I am, how I got here, etc.

How about you?

just sort of itch your fingers and think, am i dreaming. or do a double take. like look at a wall, then look away, and back. also if your married, or just happen to have a ring on, adjust it, and sort of push your finger into your hand, witch if you where dreaming, your finger would go in. 8-)

Reading something written anywhere, then reading it again.

Try to just levitate. You can do that without anyone knowing.

Since the laws of physics don't apply in dreams, I usually just do the 'ol push your hand through a solid object trick. Think to yourself, "If this is a dream, then my hand should be able to push right through."

i ask myself how I feel. I never feel tired in a dream and it starts me thinking peter

Strip off naked and run around shouting "I'm dreaming! I'm dreaming!" at all the horrified townsfolk.

Oh wait no.... :D

Generally I push my two right fingers into my left palm, or push a hand through the wall/desk....

But what if it works? Then everyone will know! ;)

I haven't really come across one that would be very noticeable, unless you're writing on your hand to remind yourself to do RC's. I usually combine a mental and a physical RC. I'll try to push my hand through something, then I'll try to levitate or move an object with my mind. Even if anyone notices, they'll think it's just a habit you have.

I don't know if this can be a reality check, but in every (lucid) dream i have the sky is always amazing (like in the middle of a sunset, with a blend of colors that you'll tell it's a dream), so you can look at the sky. Also, if the sun is on your skin, you can feel it, but you will feel it "different". Hope that these 2 work for you.
