Anyone Use Calea Zacatechichi?
I'd love to hear about other people's Calea Z (dream herb) experiences.
Some people have pretty wild and meaningful dreams on this.
If you haven't tried Calea Z you can get it from I Am Shaman (must be over 18): http://www.iamshaman.com/eshop/10Expand.asp?ProductUID=2013&ProductCode=CAZ-C6&A=1158

Ive been studying calea zacatechichi for a while and really want to try it, but i havnt heard any thing about side effects. Are there any long term side effects to using calea z.
Yeah are there any side affects? Me and my friend were looking at getting some but are a little wary of what affect it might have
I've noticed no side effects although of course do your own research when it comes to putting substances into your body. It's nothing compared to the sometimes horrendous side effects of alcohol or marijuana - dehydration, vomiting, mood swings, memory loss, all that lovely stuff. Calea Z is very weak in comparison.
I occasionally take a capsule after a few hours' sleep and have much more vivid and epic dreams. But I don't recommend you take it every night - just when you feel you want to play around a bit with your dreamworld, to increase the intensity and your recall in the morning. Note that Calea Z is legal in most countries around the world although I do believe it's illegal in the state of Louisiana for some strange reason. Perhaps someone can explain that to me!
The calea z plant was band in the state of louisiana because it was only one drug in a bill that band many different substances so it has nothing to do with the calea z itself :D
I bought some dried leaf from shamans garden, so far no results from drinking the tea, though I read that you're meant to have a smoke along with the tea which I haven't tried yet. My partner had a really long mundane but vivid dream from just the tea alone. I think I need to experiment a bit more with the amounts.. Planning on buying a live plant later this year, to try a bit more with it..
Rebecca, do you know what the amount in your capsules is? Is it straight leaf, or is it extract of some part of the plant?
Hi Gen, I've run out so I can't check the packet, but on the website I buy them from they say they're 250mg gel capsules, and you can take 1 or 2 (I've had amazing dreams with just 1, Pete always takes 2 but then again he is a lot bigger than me!)
I've written up a little information on smoking / drinking Calea Z and of course the capsules which I think are the easiest way to take it!
Calea Zacatechichi - The Dream Herb Review http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/calea-zacatechichi.html
Perhaps you could try taking your dose after a few hours sleep? I reckon it might have worn off by the time you enter REM sleep, which is why the effect isn't noticeable.
Hi, I tried Calea Z now and here is my "trip report"...:) Tuesday I set the alarm clock at 05:30 am but woke up already at 4:30 am and then nervously took 1 capsule (from IamShaman Shop). I know you recommend two - so do they but I wanted to try first cause I am an allergic person so wanted to play it safe.
As I have previously posted in this forum, I am not a lucid dreamer but an OBE:er (have had quite a few during the last year) but have struggled lately to have these experiences more frequently. I am really becoming an expert theory-wise but want more practical experiences. The main issue for me is not separating from my body - that I find very easy, but it is the getting into the vibration state I need to learn, which is the key to an OBE.
So, I had a hard time falling back to sleep (snoring husband, dog walking around, hot and humid...) but when I eventually did I woke up 5-6 times in the vibration state and had OBE´s all of the time but they were blurry and I lost consciousness all of the time, woke up in vibration state and out again...
So, next night I did it again, set the alarm clock to 06:30 in order to be more "alert" to hopefully have a more stable OBE but I woke up again before the alarm clock, this time around 05:30 am. Took only one capsule and had one really long OBE but it ended in a blur unfortunately. I had a very strong mission to fly to my friends window - she has put something there for me to see so that we can experiment using OBE as "Remote Viewing". I did see two objects but only after it all went funny and dreamlike, so they were not correct...
So, third and forth night - same procedure but no effect. I will rest now for a few days and try again next week with two capsules at once.
The one thing I notice differs having a "natural" OBE from one kicked off by Calea Z is that after a natural OBE I wake up completely and can recollect every single detail of my OBE, but with Calea Z the OBE ends in a blur and a dream so it´s not as clear afterwards... Perhaps it will be different next attempt with two capsules! I am hoping that Calea Z will make natural OBE´s come more easily.
Wow, thanks for the report!
I have never considered the effect of dream herbs on OBE-type experiences. I am MUCH more familiar with lucid dreams, and the few OBEs I've had are not like what most people describe. I never get that far anyways. I prefer to WILD and go straight into the dream, having no awareness of my real body.
Please post an update when you have one... I would like to do an article on this one day but I will definitely need your help! 8-)
I have used it a few times, but recently I have not used it.
I didn't have anything major happen to me. It's really bitter, and hard to get down. I tried making tea with it by adding things to sweeten it a bit, but it's just hard to work with.
One time something interesting did happen though. I use some binaurals and isochronics before bed, but I decided that because I'm not big on smoking that I would just burn it like incense. I did it a little before bed, and then in the middle of the night after a few hours of sleep.
It wasn't that my dream was very vivid, nor was it long, but I had one of the most seamless transitions from thought to dream ever. My thoughts instantly turned into my dream.
I bought some kirkii, so that's my next thing to try.
Hi,I am new to this site, and found this site thru another dream moods website. I had read about REBECCA recommending Calea zacatechichi and found the link to the IAM SHAMAN shop. I had ordered some, and it shipped in,but have been very LEERY about putting this into my body, and just wanted some "informed opinions" from some folks here on this website, such as, Is this really safe to take? Reason I am put off is because: After reading the disclaimer on the IAM SHAMAN shop website where they tell us: NOT intended for human consumption AND "what may work ok for some people, may make another person terribly ill". Based on these statements, should I really feel GREAT about trusting this supplier,or the integrity of this product? Just wanted an HONEST opinion from REBECCA or anyone else who has ordered and used the Calea zacatechichi 10:1 Gelcaps made directly by Gaia's Delight's NATURAL PRODUCTS (that's what it says on the packet it came in) Thank you for your honest opinion.
Just woke up from trying it, and boy was it a doozy!
Okay, I will tell of my experience. I bought the supplement after reading from this board and fuguired...oh, what the heck, I will try it. Admitedly I was little nervous about actually taking one of the gel tablets,(I decided against taking two) wondering if I might be the one in 8 million whose deadly allergic to it (it didn't say anything about that, I was just paranoid) I take it anyway. It seems to take a long time to fall asleep, and I don't realize it until much much later that I had a false awakening.
I "get up" to ivestigate a light coming from down stairs, and the tv is one (is it Ironic that I was re-watching Flatliners before bed?) and I can't turn it off. I decide that something fishy is going on, but do not become lucid, just passively accepting of the fact I can't turn off the tv, and I head back up stairs where I discover a couple of brooms. I try to lean them against the wall, as they were just on the floor before, but they are floaty, and won't stay put. I still am not totally lucid, but again...I am like...well, okay, they're not co-operating right now, maybe later. I am so tired anyway, I will go to bed and deal with the tv and the brooms later.
Now I had a very very long, and eventually fully dream, but the part I that was most striking is what I want to mention here. SOmetime during the dreams I feel like I've had this exact dream before. Now ordinarly I never dream the same dream twice, but I do have lots and lots of recurring themes, but never recurring dreams. I also realize, even though I forget what's supposed to happen, that I don't want to go through with it, but now that I am aware that this is a dream I can change something.
I look through a broken window that slowly mends itself before my eyes.
The next thing I recall is being outside. I am a young child looking for feathers, and off in the distance I hear a funny twanging sound. I ignore it at first, and it seems to be getting louder and closer. I am feeling just a tad worried about that sound. What IS it? I keep gathering the weird feathers from the ground, trying to imagine what bird it came from, when I see something out of the corner of my eye up in the air. I look and see a flying figure.
It looks like a man with wings, and carrying a bow, and shooting arrows, but when he releases the arrow it turns into multiple arrows, and they fly out. The figure actually could also be female, as it could go either way, and reminded me of a Hindu god, as that's the sort of face it has, but it's not really firing arrows AT me, I just happen to be in the path while it is shooting arrows. It's face never really changes, and I could see it's face quite clearly. It never looked angry.
In the dream I can fly, too, and take off, trying to avoid the arrows. And there were a lot of them, more and more each time, until it was like a rian of arrows. The arrows look gold. I finally give up and lie on my stomach on a feild of yellow grass, and surrender to the hail of arrows. The flying god comes back and shoots more arrows the other way, and several hit me in the back.
The dream goes on, but that's all I will write here.
To say the least that was quite a dream. I felt it was highly significant, though not actually strange by my standards. My dreams are very typically populated with strange creatrues and are often violent, but this dream felt quite different. Upon awakening I seem to recall there is a Hindu god that shoots a whole lot of arrows, and I mean to go do some research on them later today.

WHOA! I didn't see any of those warnings!!!! Glad I was not negatively affected by it. Had I seen those warnings I would not have tried it. But I guess I am among those it works great for. I will however restrict it to ONE gel tab and only once a week, if that often. See my report below.
Where does it say "NOT for human consumption"? The only warning I see says " These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. "

Question / Issue Why So Strict About "No Consumption"?

It's a legal disclaimer - so they can never be sued.
When you run your own business, you learn to cover your ass or could one day find a disgruntled customer suing you for everything you've got.
I have to do the same thing with my website, and I don't sell any kind of herbs or supplements, I only give away information. Even so, without my disclaimer (http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/disclaimer.html) someone could potentially sue me for making them having bad dreams that cause their mental breakdown!
So - naturally - I'm not going to say that this product is 100% safe for you to take. Neither are the manufacturers. I hope you understand why now.
Incidentally, they say you should consult your doctor before taking any new vitamin or supplement. That's a disclaimer to cover the times when someone might experience a side effect such as nausea, rash, etc, etc. Anything you ingest can cause a chemical reaction in your body. I think it is OTT to suggest a herbal pill could kill you, but then again I'm not doctor and I can't take any responsibility for the herbs you do or don't take.
Gooeymaw - thank you for sharing, your dream sounded amazing and very typical (if there is such a thing) of a Calea Z experience! :D
Gooeymaw your chances of getting bumped off were certainly greater than 1 in 8 million, even the anesthesia you're given before surgery has a 1/4,000 chance of killing one. People every year kill themselves by eating roasted apple seeds (extremely poisonous because laced with cyanide). People also kill themselves every year by mixing bleach with ammonia and creating chlorine gas. The chance of doing something dumb and killing oneself are pretty over the course of a life time.
I never heard of people eatting roasted apple seeds.
nectarine seeds are full of cyanide - but 4 fresh seed centres wont kill you - well they didnt kill me when I tried them a few years back
Thanks for the reply,Rebecca.I figured it was just a disclaimer.
Peter wrote: nectarine seeds are full of cyanide - but 4 fresh seed centres wont kill you - well they didnt kill me when I tried them a few years back
Not a very important point, as even when you don't notice the damage a poison can permanently damage one and every additional taking of that toxin will damage one more.
Gooeymaw a lot of people roast seeds and I've even been offered roast apple seeds in a health class :o . Personally I even only know about the common placeness of the deaths because my mother was an ER nurse and a psychiatric nurse and have been exposed to lots of shop talk ;) The most funny of which was an hatha yogi who stopped his heart and then panicked and could not restart it (only funny in a sick way)
I did call the poison centre and sort out what to do so it was tiny dose and fine.
Interesting point is that apart from the seeds that are full of posion I think I read that most seeds that you can buy to eat have been opened by soaking chemicals, there is no way to win unless you grow your own food
I did take TWO Calea Z capsules puchased from IAM SHAMAN,and can honestly say I did NOT notice anything out of the ordinary.I took them at around 1 am after sleeping for a few hours and had the usual dreams of adventure similar to stuff going on in the waking state. What I was wondering is are there any supplements one could take along with Calea Z to 'boost' or enhance the dream experience such as Galantamine,B-6,5-HTP or Melatonin?
I am interested in the herb that is written about in those. But I would have to side on caution about taking it. After all, I don't know this person. I would have to take it upto the university to have it tested before I would use it. I believe in God, this much is true. And I am not affraid of death, been there. But I will stand before God in his time. Not mine.
Me and my buddy went in on a pack of 12 capsules the other day just to try Calea Z. My buddy just took the capsules after 3 or so hours of sleep and told me the next day that he had the most vivid dream of his life.. I took 2 capsules one night after about 4 hours of sleep, drank it in tea the next night (which was horribly bitter and hard to get down by the way) and rolled the contents of the last two capsules and smoked it last night.. All to no avail. My dreams were not anymore vivid than on a regular night, and last night it seemed to actually make my dreams less vivid... Needless to say i'm pretty disappointed that i spent the 10 bucks on this, all for nothing... Just wondering if anybody knows if some people are immune to it or have had similar problems and found out why? All i want to do is have some crazy, vivid dreams! Is that too much to ask?

No, but have you just asked?

Touche my friend :P
Can you use the Calea Z if your 18 below? Since Iam Shaman shop needs 18 up to buy it.
Hi Guys, i'm a novice, iv'e had 4 LD's in the past month using WILD, but have been struggling a bit with stabilisation and waking up . Last night I set a few dream intensions and took some Calea Z for the first time. It was an Amazing experience!! I became lucid spontaneously and the dream just went on and on. I'm tempted to take it again tonight but I'll wait a few days at least i think. Anyway, I recommend it to any other fellow novices. I had a great time. I'm hoping through practice and experience i will be able to achieve this level of sustained lucidity without taking it all the time. I won't get lazy. Much Love, happy dreams.
I really DO want to try this. But, I'm 13, and my Mum would definitely NOT let me order PILLS off of the INTERNET :(
dont seek thrills from pills at your age as that is all it is. You have a great young mind so just keep doing what you are doing and you will get all the action you need from your dreams
Yeah, I gotta agree with you ^0^
I recently came across a Calea Z tincture offered by a company based in Hawaii (Herbal Terra). They claim a 7:1 potency ratio (i.e. 7 ounces of herb to produce 1 ounce of tincture). A 40Oz bottle of liquid is available from Amazon for $29.95 but all the reviews are 5 stars and the first review, by Vantala, is a word for word plagirization (!) of Rebecca's review of Calea Z from the WoLD website. See for yourself:
http://www.amazon.com/Oz-120-Calea-Zacatechichi-Tincture/dp/B006QQ2P3M/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hpc_1
I immediately went out to the Herbal Terra website (http://www.herbalterra.com), and wouldn't you know it -- it's a Russian company! I wouldn't see this as terribly out of the ordinary if I hadn't lived for several years in Russia and Ukraine. I have yet to find a legitimate business run by anyone of former USSR origin. I know this sounds like a blanket statement, but I've seen the way they think / work / abuse normal business practices, time and time again, and now I am concerned about the quality of this product.
Has anyone tried this? If I were to guess, I'd say it's probably unfiltered tap water from Panama mixed with god knows what else. I think back to a woman I knew that had purchased diet pills from a Russian company that were knowingly infected with deadly parasites (that, of course, produced serious weight loss).
Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this company, operated by Sense LLC in Honolulu. My intuition tells me to be extremely wary of any company based in the USA whose main site is in Russian language (with no working translations in other languages).
I Just bought some of this off a website called "arena botanicals" something like that, it's just the herb not the pills or anything, I'll post a review once I get it (shouldn't be to long this website is fantastic with same day shipping)
I've been practicing controlled OBE's but I"m having trouble with Lucid dreaming so I thought I'd try this after reading the review on the main site
It's annoying to have the weirdest dream ever but to wake up going "why the hell didn't I question whether or not any of it was real?!" because I've had some weeeeeird dreams

Wow, I was just about to order that product as a way to experiment Calea Z for the first time. A tincture sounds more easy to use than a bunch of dried leaves (that everyone recommend NOT to drink as tea).
Can anyone share their experience on this?
Thanks,
Donald
Does anyone has experience with the product of this company?
I just received my order from Bouncing bear botanical s yesterday. I mixed a quarter of the bag in about 40 oz of water and made sun tea, later before bed I drank half a glass slowly (bitter but you get over it) took a bathroom break and off to bed... I got a lot of visuals (mostly from the minecraft game I've been playing) I'm 53 yo. Finally went to sleep and had a lot of dreams and woke up at 2:45 and thought that was that. I stayed up for a hour and went back to bed and more dreams. Somewhere in them I did a "reality check" I ran and jumped up to see if I could fly... I could, then I was amazed I didn't freak out and wake up like normal so I waited for it. I was still dreaming so I took off learning to fly! The reality check app on my phone really helped and I think the function of the Calea Z is to keep you calm so you dont get all excited when you do get lucid. Hopefully this stuff will make Lucid dreaming so common place to me that I can get on to bigger and better stuff like OBE! As for the side effects, I didn't have any but I think I will give it a break tonight as I read somewhere that it becomes less effective if you do it every night. Can anyone confirm that?
Yes two nights ego i did drink a cup of calea tea with pinching my nose and fast. Still very bitter, result one dream during the night short and i forgotten the dream straight away. in the morning i remembered the dream it came like saying, remember me, and put me in your dreambook. Yesterday i searched for a way how to take calea, i came across a tip: put the crushed leaves on yout tonque and swallow with water, which made me to mix the leaves with breakfast oats and eat it, and flushed it down my throat with plenty of water. i did put sugar in the oats and the taste was only slightly bitter. i had 3 dreams i remember,i am not lucid yet but have great clear dreams, in one of the dreams i was flying, but knew i was to late to catch up with my friends. i said to myself: Will yourself to be there. Which is the first time that i was aware i can do that. The dream faded, but i know, getting lucid is not far away :)
No :/
I ordered some and just got it. I smoked 6 bowls of it last night, but nothing out of the ordinary occured in my dreams.
i guess i'll try it in a tea tonight.
So does anybody know if you can be immune to this stuff? I got some a while ago and started of taking pills, nothing happened... Rolled it up and smoked some (It's pretty harsh), still nothing... Made the rest into some tea and still got nothing... Just wondering if it just doesn't work for some people?
Oh and by the way, NEVER MAKE IT INTO TEA!!! That was the most god awful thing I have ever tasted!!!
This herb have done wonders for my dreams. I had a lucid dream the second time I tried it. This is a good example of how Lucid dreaming can turn a nightmare, into a wonderful dream.
So here's my Calea z dream:
I was inside some kind of super marked. I walked over to a man and a woman who sat on the floor. They spoke a foreign language, and I tried to communicate with them, by using my hands and other types of body language. I tried to explain to them, that they had to put on their shoes. Suddenly I heard someone walk into the store. It was a very tall, skinny old man, with really big knifes in both hands. He didn't scare me, but I hid behind som shelfs (I'm almost never afraid, when I'm inside a nightmare, The fear comes after i wake up.) He killed some of the other people in the store, and the people working there didn't even notice him. I thought 'That's strange...What kind of place is this anyway? I MUST be dreaming' So I faced the killer, let he come towards me, and stab me right in the chest. I knew that the worst thing that could happen, was that I would wake up. I felt some pressure on my chest, when he stabbed, but it didn't hurt. I laid down on the floor, and pretended to be dead. There was some blood, but the wound healed in no time. When the killer was gone, I got up, and demanded to see my dream guide (which is one of the characters in a novel I'm working on. I didn't ask him to be my guide, but he just showed up in another lucid dream, and said that he would be my dream guide from now on) and I wanted to go somewhere more familiar. Suddenly I was on a stage, and working on Romeo and Juliet, with a director who I never saw but heard the voice of (I played Juliet when I was in acting school, so my subconscious used that as something familiar) My dream guide was also there, and I had a question for him, related to the novel, because I've had a bit of a writers block. He was a bit hard to talk to this time, so I started to float around (something I always tend to do when I'm lucid) When we we're finished practicing our performance, I finally had the chance to sit down with him, and ask him what would happen next in the novel. For some reason this made him very sad, but he gave me some good answers, before I woke up.
I will continue to dig in my subconscious, to get more inspiration for my novel. Calea really helps me to remember my dreams better, and to take control :)
I by now tried calea just about any way you can think of. Tea, vaping, baking in cake, eating it with poridge, tea with plenty of honey. For me it does not seem to do anythink, but i don't say it does not work, and will at a latter stage try it again. :)
I've never used supplements before, but when I researched this one, it sounded interesting. I got an ounce of the herb and a bottle of tincuture. I find it really strange that these don't come with any dosage recommendations. Why is that? It seems like they should.
Anyway, I started with the tincture. First I tried a couple of dropper fulls from the included dropper. Nothing to report. Then I tried a tablespoon on one occasion and, again after no action, I upped it to two tablespoons on two different nights but no avail. Last night I tried three tablespoons and that did the trick. Here's the report.
I had three very long, very detailed dreams with very intricate and complex plot lines. I rarely have these types of dreams, so it's a good bet it was more than coincidence. I took it before going to sleep, and I noted the dreams took place throughout the night with the last one occurring just before rising. So, in this case at least, the effect was rather long lasting. I will try 3 tablespoons again for two more nights for a total of three consecutive nights then knock off for a while. If there is any action worth reporting, I'll post back here. There were no side effects of any kind from the 3 tablespoons last night.
I have been using calea zacatechichi for a little while. I take it in capsule form- 2.5 grams a night- and it wasn't working at first. I read a little into it because I still had quite a large amount of it left and I read that if it doesn't work for you immediately, give it some time. Quite a number of people notice no effects at first try but it becomes more effective with regular use. I tried this out by taking 2.5 grams a night for the next couple of weeks and slowly I noticed a change. My advice to anybody who thinks, "I'm just immune, it doesn't work on me and never will," just give it some time and take it every night. You'll be glad you did.

I don't know if these supplements are a bad pair or what... I've had terrible dream recall the past two days, it was like I didn't even dream at all until this morning 40 minutes after I woke up I remembered I did have a dream (more of a nightmare but those don't really effect me)
I have had a good ratio of LDs with melatonin alone. I think b6 and calea z are out if my regiment for a few days until I feel like experimenting with them again.
I'm having really bad recall.. It's better without supplements but does anyone know why this is?
I was thinking throughout the day taking a supp with choline bitartrate, dmae, and ginkgo biloba for mental clarity and memory function. Thoughts? [ Post made via iPad ] Image
Too much melotonin. First of all, 5-HTP is more efficient then melotonin and they both do the same job dream wise. Second, melotonin gives you dreams, by keeping you in deep sleep longer, but then in the second half of the night, you experience REM rebound because the first half of the night was all spent in deep sleep. However, you start takeing all that melotonin and you'll be in deep sleep too long. And I know why you had a nightmare, your building too high levels of certain chemicals in your brain. It's actually hurting your dream recall and giving you unpleaseant dreams. I say stop taking ALL supplements for now. Then go order Advanced Lucid Dreaming: the power of supplements.
Also note, calea is not a supplement, it is an herb and thus completely in it's own category. You should really take calea after 5 hours of sleep not before bed. Same with the B6. But like I said, you should discontinue all supplement use for now Intill you are better educated and why they do what they do, and how they do what they do. It will make you far more effiecient, powerful, and safer.

I think this is a very good reply, and I strongly endorse it. to many beginners think one takes a cocktail of what is supposed to give you instant results. If one is serious to enter Lucid Dreaming, patience and learning is a must, plus to realize from the start that one can not force to become lucid. Read the Forums, ask questions do the task you have decided on, and I am sure success will come. I get dry spells, OK I take a break for as long as I feel like, and start again most often with a new Affirmation. That works for me. :)
Contrarie to your suggestions, I started taking Cognizen by Vitazen which has choline, dmae, and ginkgo biloba taken throughout the day, my dreams have been extremely vivid and now I can keep a good dream journal.
I also knew to take calea z 4-6 hours after I sleep, I wanted to try it right before bed just to experiment. And if you read my post again you will notice that I stated I took calea z 4 hours after I slept with same results.
And erichsa where did you get this idea that I am a beginner?
Also note I wasn't trying to mix a cocktail of supplements to induce a lucid dream, I was really trying to improve my dream recall. It would have been cool if it produced a LD right away but I wasn't as worried about that as I was trying to remember my dreams
Thank you. [ Post made via iPad ] Image

With beginner I was addressing beginners who might be reading the posting, to give well meant advise on lucid dreaming or dream recall, and not to offend you. :)
I've been an avid lucid-dreamer for years and have been pleasantly-surprised to read of other fellow dreamers. I found World of Lucid Dreaming and have learned alot. On my next lucid dream afterwards I tried out a couple of techniques. I tried the "looking at your hands" to stay in the dream and it really worked. At first my fingers all looked fat but then shrunk to regular size after a few seconds. I immediately started flying and as soon as I felt I was going to wake up I just concentrated on my hands again and the moment passed and I was able to prolong the dream. I ordered some Calea Z from Phytoextractum and tried one capsule the first nite when I first woke up after about 5 hours and nothing happened. But just last nite I did it again but this time took 2. Man what a difference! My dreams became clearer and more colorful. It allowed me to try out other techniques like reality checks. I stuck my fingers and hand through the nearest wall and it worked. But when I tried to spin to prolong the dream I got so disoriented and dizzy that I automatically woke up. I fell asleep again and remembered not to try that again and just did the looking at my hands again and that worked well. No side effects with the Calea Z other than that I stayed drowsy longer and made me want to sleep more. But that was expected based on the research I did on it. I've decided to only take the capsules maybe once or twice a week as a special treat as I don't want to become dependent on them. I think it was well worth the price.
I smoked it last night, quite a bit of it actually, and i didn't recall hardly anything, but I have really bad problems with dream recall. I did notice quite a bit more hypnagogia phosphenes as i drifted off. I'll try again tonight.
Hopefully I will be able to try CaleaZ one day.
...I just hope I won't think I have to use it all the time to have amazing dreams.
After a Long pause I tried Calea again. This time I made a strong tea, two heaped teaspoons in a mug and I do drink half going to bed and the other half during the night. Due to bladder problems I wake up about every two hours, but after a piddle I fall asleep quickly again. After four nights drinking Calea lengths, recall, and being vivid has improved. My dreams are now much longer, also after my bladder break I can often continue the last dream. I do have a dream after going to bed within the first two hours, and in the night after drinking the remaining tea a minimum of 3 more dreams. I record most dreams as the do fade fast. But next day the recorded dreams are being remembered, and they for me important ones recorded to be written down. I drink the tea without adding anything it is very bitter, but I eat afterwards a piece of a banana. For members who don't know I just turned 83 and my memory could be better, hence my delight that Calea helps me to improve my dreaming all-round. I don't force things and will start again and not cling to things which do not work for me. At the moment it works for me. :)
