What's your current LD goal?
Im craving some excitement right now and currently thinking that I'd like to do a bank holdup in my next LD to see what then happens.
Will my subconsciousness allow me to rob it? (it probably wont and I suspect will be out to stop me as usually I cant do things in my dreams which are morally wrong without my subsciousness doing things to stop the situation). Im really interested in how my subconsiousness would respond to me trying to rob a bank and the senarios it would create. (it probably end up quite funny).
I want to try waking though walls, never occurred to me that I could until I read it on this forum, I do a lot of flying in both lucid and vivid dreams, but I have only ever opened doors never tried to walk straight though them before.
And I want to started asking my dream characters more questions about myself, my dream characters always seem to do there own thing they sometimes even attack me which is quite disturbing when you run the full self analysis and accept that these dream characters are part of my own psyche, so I am going to try and find out why they are attacking me, sometimes we even fight in arial combat, all be it its only ever been playful combat, I have never had a dream character want to kill me or have I ever tried to kill one of them, but we seem to want to punch each other out a lot sometimes.

This was the second thing that I tried after I floated up in a recent LD. I floated straight through a door, without believing that I would succeed.
This is quite funny. I dream a lot about trying to kill someone. :) Suddenly, I get angry (there is always a good reason, that I promise) and I kick the hell out of unknown dream figures in deadly ways, either they attacking me or not.
My current goals are: create my own world.
My current goal is to figure out how to consistently achieve an Lucid Dream every-night.
Current goal: being completely lucid with all control for 1hour god that would be so @#$%ing nice, if I could trade all my Christmas presents for that I probably would lol.. Well maybe.

Finally got the chance to try this last night, has been weeks since my last Lucid dream but was just cruising from one to the next last night, was stuck at first in some plain and some what boring blank corridor, so I just thought now is my chance and just run straight through the wall and it worked, I came out in another room where again there was nothing of interest, and for a while I found myself just running through different walls only to come out the other side into yet another different room each time but with nothing exciting to speak of in any of the, at which point I started to get annoyed that I was manifesting such plain and boring environments.
Then it struck me that I had not even seen any dream characters so far in my dream so I gave up trying to create some kind of fun environment and tried to concentrate on creating a dream character, I did not focus on any specific just wanted to create someone anyone that I could try talking to so I could trying asking them some questions, nothing was happening again at first so I focused walked through another wall, and the next time I came about the other side there was someone else there, it was a new figure to me I thought at first wearing what was kind of like a vial, I could not put my figure on where the image came from at the time it was kind of creepy looking, but I have now since realized thinking back it resembled a character in the Video Game "Destiny" from the new expansion pack I have been recently playing "The Dark Below" for any readers familiar with the game, it was an image of the mission giver at the Tower that you visit like the bounty giver, at least that the best representation I can give for the look of the figure that appeared which makes sense since I have been playing that game recently since purchasing the update, but anyway I asked her "what are you doing here and what part of me do you represent?" but she just ran off, I chased after her through some kind of pyramid arch way into an area I only vaguely remember as some kind of maze, I did managed to catch up with her and asked her again, can recall her finally saying something or at least communicating with me somehow though some kind of telepathy but can't for the life of me recall what exactly she said, and thats about all I can remember, before going on a jumping spree though a few more different random dreams while still remaining lucid but after that it was all happening and changing so fast that I dont really recall anything specific except for the changes and the realization that I was dreaming, somehow I just lost focus on the environment especially, was unable to control any of it except for my own movement and thoughts so just went with it and gave up for as far as I can remember from that point.
Will have to practice talking to dream characters again next time since this time was a bit of a frailer, but as far was walking though wall goes that was a complete success that I had no problems with what so ever.
My current goal is to adquire the ability to remain lucid and in the dream over 45 minutes. Next will be to enter a world with a combination of medieval times and pirates. I would gain super powers by strange artifacts found in treasures and journeys. I would start with nothing but a small shield and a sword. Also each time I woke up everything would be saved, kind of like a videogame.

What were your thoughts wen you were doing that? "Oh I hope the next place isnt boring like this one?" if your thinking was going something along those lines, one is certainly likely to manifest boring room after boring room. Try to think of something very exciting being on the other side of the wall.. a surprise for yourself. (it can be a vague thought of something exciting being there).
I dont think you did too badly with the DC as after all your subconsciousness wanted her running away from you, you used your waking consciousness to override your subconscious projection and catch up with the DC.
Those DCs are just at times can be hard to get to talk... (mine used to all completely ignore me or just like grunt in reply and walk off on me).
Current goal is to talk to extraterrestrials. I had an Ld where i said i want to summon some aliens, i saw a few and they grabbed me. Then i woke up :(

I had a semi lucid last year in which aliens were keeping humans as slaves and also using us for sex slaves. It was a quite interesting dream to find myself in, I played along with the dream other then doing some stuff out of curiousity to try to find out more about the dream. The aliens (form of reptilians) were very nasty and treated people as if they were just objects.. they killed another just for the fun of it or a simple mistake. So this dream was an adrenaline rush in places.
Anyway, the combo of the aliens and all the sex stuff in this dream and also of it being in the setting of a completely different place.. really made for an interesting dream (I prefered to play along with the dream for interest of what would happen next then go trying to beat the aliens up).
The dream probably would of been a nightmare thou had I not been semi lucid (and hence knew I could just wake myself up to get out of it if I wanted too).
That's the only "alien" lucid dream I currently remember having. ..........
Last time I got grabbed, that dream was a rush too. I was grabbed by the legs by a demon DC who I then allowed to pull me down into the earth (a thought which caused me fear but which I then wanted to confront when the demon started to pull me down. I also was wondering where I'd find myself once down there). So i went along passively with that lucid too. :D .
Its sometimes just as fun taking a passive role in a LD as taking a more active one.
Wow, awesome dreams. I want to have more with aliens and Albert Einstein :) ! You're absolutely right its cool to be passive, sometimes taking control Wakes me up. Now my goal is to go woth the flow and just slightly will people or beings i want to summon. Happy dreaming!

I use to believe that I was working with my so called subconscious, however I learned otherwise. Is relation to self admissible? Is the mind actually trying to teach itself? Do the ears hear themselves or the eyes see themselves, etc.
There may come a point in your experiences where the evidence is simply overwhelming, how will you react them?
You should look at goals on the biological level. What is the function and purpose of the mind?
The answer was hidden in a puzzle, accessible to those minds that actually can, to some degree function in accordance with the purpose of mind. The name of the Beast 666: "To regulate behavior so as to turn the past into the future, and to bring a future to pass."
There is a difference between appearance and reality. The mind abstracts the common element in many examples. When one cannot do this, each thing has no common element and we live in fear from lack of understanding. Language is the only power a mind has. It is the only thing it can do, and there are two branches of language. The mind is responsible for human behavior such that it maintains and promotes life. It cannot do this being linguistically dysfunctional. Look at your lucid dreams as an analog language. analog language is the foundation of all language. It provides material. We simply have to learn to divide it by standards. Then we know where it belongs in our mind.
If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord, will make myself known unto them in a vision, and speak unto them in a dream. The visual representations of both visions, lucid dreams, the so called miracles of Christ, were an analog language. Man is being aided in learning to think. It cannot do this when words have no meaning, no analog component-nor when the same analog component is given separate names, as if they were different.
A mind is not a pointless thing, it has a well defined job to do and well defined means. Learn the principles of language to understand your job and how it is done.
You are correct that you should have well defined goals for your lucid dreams. As we are to produce human will, what you can do, and not do, is one way one is taught. Will is deliberately exercised in the lucid dream state. Will is not the same as desire or wish. Will is a thing, both material and form. Since the mind is wholly linguistic by function and fact, it is the principles of language which determine standards in human behavior. In a metaphor; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In that simple metaphor, you are informed of many things. That there are two branches of language, and that they are the only power a mind can know. You are being taught analogically, but the principles have been with us a long time, we are just not awake enough to see it.
My current goal is to control Lucid dreaming... for at least an hour
That is not possible. You can control your behavioral responses, but you cannot actually control the content.
It is possible, for example, to control your awareness throughout the sleeping cycle. I once did it through six consecutive lucid dreams, and the darkness between dreams.
the darkness between dreams
The place of pure thought and just being - I know it well
Goals, to find the interface of common thought and the hidden mind and then explore
On the level of normal reality to keep leaning in my virtual trading room. To bring subconscious thought to life in the waking world
And to find a cake shop and eat my favorite foods
My goal is to really control my dreams. The past few nights, my dream self has been like "this is probably a dream..." really apathetically, and I need to have more excitement in my dreams, the kind I have in REAL life about lucid dreaming.
I want to continue to explore and learn. I've experienced things I could never imagine in this world and it amazes me each time I have a new one.
Current Goals:
Meditate during an LD
Ask the dream "What's the best song I can write?"
Ask the dream or a dream figure how I can get better at lucid dreaming.
DataTunnel wrote: Ask the dream "What's the best song I can write?"
I really would like to do that one too sometime. I wonder how different the song may sound when I woke up properly....

I wonder that myself. I feel like it would be almost impossible to remember the song correctly, and even more impossible to duplicate in real life. But hey, it's already sort of a piece of you, so maybe it would be easy to remember. Won't know until I try it! 8-)

My subconsciousness has made up some wonderful music before ( the lucid me in the dream didnt make it up).. but I found when I woke up, I couldnt really remember how the music went, I was quite sad I couldnt even thou I was lucid at the time.. the music was kind of out of our world.. amazing. (like a top hit if it could happen here).

Yeah that makes sense that it would be tough to remember. I dedicate almost all of my spare time to creating music, so I think I'd be able to atleast remember the general vibe of what I'd heard in the dream, not note for note of course. But the next LD I'm planning will be either to create music or hear music from my subconscious. If I can remember it well enough I'll definitely put together a song in waking life to duplicate it to some degree and I'll post a link here on the forum!
My LD goal is to get to a "skills room" and where I can remove locks from different skills like permanent and unlimited access to my subconscious, effortless LDing, and some physical things like a more rapid metabolism (this probably wont have any effect on me in waking life, but I think that it would be interesting to see what happens).
I might try and draw the room just to make it easier to visualize and create in my next LD.
Get passed these roadblocks:
"Lucid, but don't care enough to continue" "I know I should stabilize, but ooooooh what is that?"
Then grow myself a tail again. never gets old.
My LD Goal: Stop chasing dream girls to no avail, stop trying to fly with no success, and give up all desires that ultimately end in either disappointment or mere self gratification. I want to find true bliss in a state of zen without doing anything at all.
That's the end goal.
(Just kidding! Like that's even possible!)
HAGART wrote: My LD Goal: Stop chasing dream girls to no avail, stop trying to fly with no success:
I don't know if you were being serious about the stop trying to fly with no success part but if you weren't, I must say I admire your patience and persistance. In all the years I've been doing LD, I think I've tried to fly (without an aid) TWICE! I gave up on that after I got hurt trying to fly.
I think some of us are just meant to walk. I've heard it takes a free-spirited type personality to fly, and I'm not like that. I analyze too much in a dream. However, all weaknesses at something are because I must have a strength in another. (That's what I keep telling myself anyway....)
The night I wrote that, I attempted both those desires with no success and woke up thinking I should have done something grander, and totally forgot.
I'm actually serious about my goal, and have been day dreaming about it in preparation for my next lucid dream. My new, more specific goal:
I want to be in a fully developed, realistic dream with sight and touch and dream body, and just sit on the ground, cross-legged, close my eyes and see what happens. Like meditating in a dream. I will try to shut off all my senses and try and still remain in that lucid dream state in my mind for as long as possible without doing anything at all.
My LD Goal: Stop chasing dream girls to no avail, stop trying to fly with no success
Create yourself an angel and complete both goals at the same time
Yea, but my subconscious has been blocking me from anything lately, so I might as well not fight it and perhaps it's trying to tell me something. In a tug of war with the subconscious it always wins.
I did have a lucid dream once well over a year ago, where I was in a bed like a lucid false awakening and there was a girl in my bed. I rolled out and was suddenly in the air, as if dropping out of an airplane, and she was riding piggy-back. I then showed off and was flying around at airplane altitude as if I had a rocket jet-pack. (It's always easy to fly at that height, but can never start from ground).
Anyway, I've mixed the two before. :D
It was very romantic actually and a killer first date! (Never saw her again though... :( )
Umm, go to avatar world, grow angel wings and fly like a bird, talk to god, solve a real world problem in a dream, study for an exam in a dream

In a tug of war with the subconscious it always wins
I dont see it that way as I think the SC is an organic computer and we just need to learn the programming language and really that is all we are doing in for a longtime in the dreamspace. All our adventures are just visual basic and fun while learning
Talking about that 'tug of war' that I describe is actually still related to LD Goals for this thread because it has to do with mental blocks. I have a bunch of them for some reason.
Peter wrote: I think the SC is an organic computer and we just need to learn the programming language
I concur and feel like my mind is like a computer too. (We use that analogy because it's convenient. Many years ago we would have compared it to a Swiss watch, given the times). But we're in the computer age, and I feel a dual processing going on in my mind. One is 'me', the thinker, and the other is doing sub routines in the background. In a lucid dream, I can think and wish all I want (the thinker), but that other side of me, dubbed the subconscious, seems to just have a mind of it's own.
New LD Goal: Bridge the gap between the two and figure out what I'm trying to say!
lol - thats a big outcome. When I think of the programming its also a lot like our conversations where there is free choice to reply and the SC to me is a part of me in the sense that it thinks as well. We can get to fly and create and that hard but liner in its own way, next up is the hard stuff when we can decide if interactions are with DC's in our mind or energies outside of our mind and really its not important in a pure sense as we are debating or learning in each case.
I think some of the stable DC's like the one that stopped my dream and told me off is part of me but I dont know what it is driven by so a real interesting setup. We just keep hammering away at boundaries
I'm interested in just plain flying over cities like NYC or LA since i really havent ever flew in an LD before.

Hell yea. 911 turbo to be precise. I remembered to do it in an LD, but screwed up the lucidity afterwards

If you drive often when awake, driving a car in a dream is extremely common. I've had a few joy rides in lucid dreams, but who knows what the make or model of the car actually was. It wasn't as realistic as driving a car in real life, but it was still quite exhilarating. I tried to drive into on-coming traffic once, but the other cars just passed right through me. And twice that I recall, I actually opened the door and got out of the car while it was still moving. I just hit the ground running to keep my balance.
I don't fly well in dreams, but I do like to drive. Sometimes I just sit and pretend I have an invisible Go-Kart and just start moving around the dream like that. It must look funny, but I don't care. It's good fun to try!
