It's been brought up before, I'm curios to see how it actually works out. If you try it, please post the results it is an interesting idea!

I havent tried that but I believe I already know what my DCs would probably do if I did that.. ignore me like they usually do.

It may be easier to find ones dream guide by just calling out for one and see what DC shows up.

I've called out for DC's to show up, and they do, but I have never met the same one twice.

I'm sure it is possible though to have a re-occurring dream character, but so far for me, it has never happened. (But the true person behind the DC, despite their appearances, I feel is probably the same one every time.)

And they tend to know it is a lucid dream and seem like experts. I should ask them for help sometime and perhaps one day they will show up in non-lucid dreams and 'show me the way' to lucidity.

After I read Lucid Dreaming Gateway to the Inner Self by Robert Waggoner I focus more on my unconscious being my guide instead of a dream figure or character.

Yes, once!! in fact he was my most favorite fiction person, and i've always had trouble imagining him even until now. but one night, i dreamt that he became my dream guide when i was not lucid. he pointed out some things that's not real in my life, like telling me to 'keep in mind that i'm dreaming' (maybe i became lucid after i saw him), he said things like "do you get it? remember that you don't have a cousin named ……, and that guy as well, and--"

i love that dream :D

Yup. I use to never like the lingo, but now I am using it too. LD = lucid dream SP = sleep paralysis DC = dream character FA = false awakening

So I had an LD last night that started as SP and became an FA and met a DC! :mrgreen:

it's when a dream character guides you in your dream, it's like… you can ask the dream guide any question and they will give a relevant answer, or they can guide you searching for any answers, or guide you in your dream… well something like that ^_^;

~ You've reached the end. ~
